Enertime, in partnership with the Indian company Thermax, is launching a pilot project for power production with a 100 kW ORC supplied by concentrated solar power and biomass energy. The ambition of this project is to develop reliable carbon neutral economic solutions to supply Indian rural areas which are not yet connected to the grid. This solution will then be deployed in other developing countries to improve the energy access for populations.

This project has been selected in the 2013 call for proposals of the FISP project: Innovation Facility for the Private Sector led by the French Fund for Global Environment (FFEM) which is part of the French Development Agency (AFD).

Enertime will provide the turbine, the organic fluid and will design the ORC. All other equipments will be designed and built in India under the supervision of Thermax.

Enertime is planning to open a subsidiary firm in India by the end of 2014 to carry out the project and launch their activities in the region.
