ENERTIME has won a major contract to design and build a low temperature ORC module of 3.2 MWe awarded by the largest Chinese steel manufacturer (Shanghai Baosteel Group Corporation) through its energy service subsidiary specializing in energy efficiency: Shanghai Baosteel Energy Service Co., Ltd. With this success, Enertime confirms its position within the top four global ORC technology suppliers.
The ORC module will be installed in Baosteel Shanghai steel mill as part of the renovation of the 3rd Sintering Circular Cooler. This investment reinforces the energy efficiency strategy of one of the world leaders in steel manufacturing and will reduce its environmental impact.
The system will use ENERTIME’s ORC proprietary technology developed since 2009 and already applied successfully on two other projects. The module will be designed and manufactured in France.
ENERTIME will also provide the supervision of installation and commissioning of the module in Shanghai in the third quarter of 2016.
After a recent order for a 5.5 MW geothermal Project in France, this success reinforces the industrial position of the company in the large ORC market and the relevance of its export development strategy, especially in China, where the company will open soon an office to support its development and multiply industrial and technological partnerships.
