Enertime develop for GRTgaz a Natural Gas expansion turbine technology

GRTGAZ, a subsidiary of the ENGIE Group, the European leader in gas transport and a committed player in the transition to a CO2-free industry, has chosen ENERTIME to develop an innovative solution for the recovery of natural Gaz expansion in the Gaz transmission network. For the first project, to be installed in Villiers-le-Bel in the Paris region, Enertime will provide a 2.5 MW turbine under the TENORE project which represents an investment of 9.6 M € for a total installed capacity of 3.5 MW. The commissioning is planned for mid-2020. The potential of GRTgaz network is today estimated at 25 sites of different sizes, for an amount in the range of 70 M€. This project has been selected for financial support by the French Program of investment for the Future (PIA) operated by ADEME. Two other pilot sites working in synergy either with a cold water network or with solar energy are currently being analyzed.
