Enertime, in partnership with the Moroccan engineering company, Team Maroc, is carrying out a study to identify projects in biomass and bio-gas for the ADEREE (Agency for the Development of Renewable Energies and Energetic Efficiency - formerly CDER).
The aim of the study is to identify in three administrative regions a portfolio of 50 projects per region for investment. These projects have to be linked to the main activities of the region (farming and breeding, food-processing industry, edible oil factories, fishing, waste water treatment plants, urban waste management, etc.). The size of the different projects can be as small as a few hundreds of kWe up to several MWe. Utilization of biomass can be made from combustion or methanation of biomass (bio-gas production through anaerobic digestion).
The added value that Enertime brings into the partnership consists in bringing technical expertise in engineering and design of biomass and bio-gas projects. Enertime assesses the relevance of potential projects and makes recommendations on the kind of technical solutions that will give the best efficiency and highest profitability to future energetic needs. The aim is to produce the energy with renewable sources where it is needed.
The study started at the beginning of 2011.
