With a gross power output of 1MWe, the ORCHID © module is a robust machine designed to make use of industrial waste heat of average temperature (~ 200 ° C), with good electrical performance (> 15%) and excellent availability. The choice of a non-toxic, non-flammable fluid enables us to offer our customers solutions that perfectly fit in with their manufacturing operating conditions.

Used for power generation, ORCHID © is perfectly adapted to difficult industrial working conditions, such as high room-temperature conditions and/or high variability of heat source.

Assembled in a workshop, ORCHID © is delivered in 2 standard containers of 40 feet (12 meters), allowing shipment and installation only in a matter of weeks. ORCHID ©’s modular design ensures optimal integration into the site, thereby reducing installation time and costs.

As to the conception of its design, we have systematically chosen a strong and robust architecture to ensure excellent reliability, low maintenance costs and a long service life. This is done through some fundamental technical choices, such as:

  • Use of a non-toxic, non-explosive and non-flammable fluid
  • Design of a multi-staged low-speed axial turbine with self-lubricating double jackets
  • Use of a hermetic and closed circuit cycle to maintain fluid purity and cycle optimization
  • Possible on-site operations with staff without qualification
  • Remote monitoring of performance by our team
